Pupil Deprivation Grant
Level 2+ (including Eng/Maths) 69.2% A*-C – 16% increase on 2014!
At Llandrindod High School we have set ourselves the target of achieving ‘without limits’. These outstanding results, our best in the last five years, reflect this ethos and the hard work of staff, students and parents. Science achieved a staggering 81.0% A*-C, English 80.4% and Maths 72%. It’s pleasing to see that the number of students achieving the highest A*/A grades has risen substantially as well as so many students performing above their personal targets. We will not rest on our laurels, however, and our aim is that our GCSE results will show another significant rise in 2016. Our core purpose is raising standards for all students, whatever their ability or starting point.
The school recognises achievement at all levels and behind these figures lie countless individual student success stories but some examples of those achieving the highest grades are:
Non Dingle: 6A* 4A 1B, Breanna Downey: 6A* 4A, Grace Davis 5A* 5A, Olivia Adams: 3A* 6A 1B, Emma Jeffs: 3A* 6A 1B, Chloe Morris 2A* 7A 1B, Ieuan Davies 5A* 4A 1B, Amy Dunne: 3A* 5A 2B, Jess Layton: 3A* 5A 1B, Gurleen Kaur: 3A* 5A 2B, Rupert Storer 1A* 7A 2B, Jess Bray 2A* 6A 1B 1C, Liam Price 1A* 7A 2B, Elleah Smith 1A* 7A 2B
I am incredibly proud of all of our students and they should be congratulated for achieving such fantastic results. Our GCSE students have been a joy to teach and we look forward to welcoming them back into our Sixth Form.
Well done to you all!
