Message from Head Boy & Head Girl

Starting a new school can be a daunting experience; whether you’re coming up from primary school, transferring from another high school or even a new member of staff, starting from scratch is always a challenge. At Llandrindod High School we strive to make the transition as easy as possible in order to ensure that you’re able to get stuck into all the opportunities the school has to offer.

Llandrindod High School offers a friendly welcome from staff and pupils alike. Visitors often congratulate our school on the behaviour of students, as well as the cleanliness of the school environment. Both pupils and staff are always more than happy to help with any difficulties or problems you may have, for example, finding your way to a particular classroom.
The school offers a wide variety of subjects at all levels and the standard of teaching is very high, enabling you to achieve your best. In addition to this, the number of extracurricular activities offered to all students is truly astonishing. Pupils (and even staff) can engage in multiple activities ranging from orchestra, choir and Christian Union, to sports including football, netball and hockey. Also, the 5×60 sports scheme offers even more variety with the opportunity to do badminton, tennis or kayaking, to name only a few.
A huge range of facilities are available to aid you while working, for example, numerous well equipped computer rooms with up to date software and a library stocked with materials to help you with your studies. In addition, we offer many facilities to give you the opportunity to relax at breaktimes and lunchtimes, for example, the all-weather pitch, sports hall, gymnasium, tennis courts and playing field.
We hope this has given you a brief insight to what the school offers and that you will enjoy your time here at Llandrindod High School. There is no better place to further your education and enhance your academic and social skills while having lots of fun doing so.
